AN EXPERIMENTAL TESTBED PERFORMANCE EVALUATION FOR VEHICULAR AD HOC NETWORK (VANET)

Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are essential components of a smart city environment owing to some safety-enhancing applications. The use VANETs extends from safety applications such as accident warning and collision avoidance entertainment streaming video or comfort parking spot identification. Besides, these require interconnecting, for example, by enabling vehicles communicate with other vehicles. Thus, the flow information between different requires implementing suitable transmission route. This paper aims empower vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) V2I communication through network that does not need infrastructure. In this paper, we propose utilize proactive routing protocols OLSR, BATMAN, BABEL present their performance via developed testbed. is compared based on two positionings, multi-hop, full mesh, using metrics throughput packet loss. proposed approach demonstrates outperforms both OLSR BATMAN in positionings. research highlights select appropriate protocol evaluate performance, which will be significant widespread deployment.
